Downtime for Call Tracking System Upgrade and Supportfolio Release
February 3rd, 2003
Dear Valued Customers,
An upgrade of Clarify, our call tracking, contracts and logistics system has been scheduled on February
7th, starting at 12.00 Noon PST (Friday February 7th 20:00 GMT). The upgrade is expected to be
completed by 10.00 PM PST on Sunday, February 9th (Monday February 10th 06:00 GMT). During this
period, Supportfolio will be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time.
Customers with extended hours coverage can contact their local support center for assistance.
Supportfolio 5.0.2 Release
Since the release of Supportfolio 5.0 on December 16th, 2002, we have received feedback that includes
man feature requests. Many of these feature requests and fixes to issues reported are being rolled out
with Supportfolio 5.0.2 during the above mentioned downtime.
New Features
Browse Collections
To facilitate usability and quick search in Supportfolio, a series of browse collection areas in addition to
the existing search capabilities will be available. These areas will provide a focussed way of getting to
relevant information in a specific topic area. The browse collections will utilize features within the content
management system to provide the latest available information.
The browse collections available with this release are for IRIX Patches and IRIX OS Releases. Future
collections will include Pipeline, NT and Linux.
IRIX Patch Browse Area
The IRIX Patch browse area implements features available with the previous version of Supportfolio -
patches by IRIX version, patches by IRIX version and category, replaced patches and a list of all
patches.
IRIX OS Release Browse Area
The IRIX OS release browse area provides information organized by IRIX OS Release (6.5.17f, 6.5.16m,
etc.), organized by IRIX OS Release Documentation (Caveats, Release Notes, Start Here, Update
Guide), IRIX Patches (see above) and IRIX Support Documents (Support Mode Status, Software Support
Policy)
Permanent Custom Case List
A permanent custom case list has been implemented. Users can maintain this list by adding and
removing both open and closed cases. Cases on the case list from the previous version of Supportfolio
have been transferred over.
Variable Page Lengths
All list pages now have a variable page length option. Page lengths can be 5, 10, 25, 25, 100 or all
records per page. The page length setting is permanent and applies to all such pages for the login
session.
Bugs Fixes
The following customer reported bugs have been fixed:
Feedback rejects serial number
Unable to print results list
Search Case Summary produces incorrect results
Going back in history - page is out of cache
Cases are visible but not accessible
Expand window does not show complete case history
No notifications of new publications
System management looses contract information
Feedback overwrites publications window
We will continue to provide regular feature and bug fix updates to Supportfolio. Future releases will
include reduced use of Javascript and removal of the requirement to have cookies enabled. We
