Hi,

hab' heute 2 O200 kisten gekauft.soweit alles o.k. ;D
beim hoch fahren der kisten bekomme ich folgende fehler meldungen:

Hallo,

Danke für die schnelle antwort.

Das mit CrayLink kabel kann's nicht sein.Beide kisten sind miteinander verbunden (habe verschiede kabel durchprobiert).
Wenn ich eine o200 alleine im standalone modus laufen lasse (Master),
dann fährt sie ganz normal hoch und ich kann IRIX starten.
Die zweite o200 im standalon modus (Master) fährt ga nicht hoch, nicht mal der PROM Monitor.Aber über MSC bekomme ich folgendes:

ich glaube das HUB Link kabel defekt ist oder was anderes.

hallo,

mit dem Befehl

   -->  flash -a

kannst du im laufenden Betrieb die proms (Node und IO PROM) updaten und diesem Fall sorgst du dann dafür,das auf dem Master und dem Slave die selben Revisions vorliegen.
Ein reboot und die mismatch Meldungen dürften verschwunden sein.
Allerdings kann es sein das ein downgrade der Revisions erfolgt; ist abhängig davon ob auf dem Slave eine neuere Revision vorliegt als auf dem Master.

Die andere Lösung ist die von Christoph angegebene Neuinstallation.

Error: Unrecognized flag: '-a'

Usage: flash [-c|n] [-i] [-e] [-m MODID -s SLOTID] [-N NASID] [-f] [-F] [-y] [-v] [-e] [-l] [-C] FILE
                                Flash all appropriate PROMs with FILE

mit welchem befehl läst sich die PROM version updaten.
Der Master hat 'ne neuere version als der Slave

das commando flash ist das kommando um die prom's zu flashen!

welche Irix version ist bei dir installiert, da er die option -a nicht kennt?

gar keine.Ich habe beide platten ausgebaut.(ich hab'  im Command Monitor versucht zu flashen)
werd' sie wieder einbauen und IRIX neu Installieren.
Werd' mich wieder melden!!!

Ja, der befehl "flash" steht nur zur Verfügung im gestartetem IRIX System.
Aber es gibt die Möglichkeit im Prom-Monitor mit den versteckten Befehlen flashio, und flashcpu die prom's upzudaten. setzt aber  auch eine Systemdisk voraus mit den Firmwarereversions, und noch eine möglichkeit wäre im POD modus.
Wenn interesse besteht, kann ich dir die genaue vorgehensweise der anderen Möglichkeiten hier posten.

Since the error I see here is similiar to the one I have I would like to ask for some advanced help :)
I get this error message on my serial console :

My serial console is connected to the serial port down below at the fan metal and not to the front MMSC diagnostics bus or the official IO6 console port.

The O2K has currently 1 dual 180Mhz CPU, some memory and 1 full router in the left slot (right router slot not populated)

Please help me to resurrect my Origin 2000

This is the general behaviour when having a multi module setup or when pulling a single module which was part of a larger installation. It means that on the privous installation the console was configurated to run on another module and not on module 1. So you cant listen here anymore because now the console moved away to the other module.

Log into the MSC and try clear all the logs from the cac. Try
pod
go cac
clearalllogs
initalllogs
reset

When having a working PROM the console path settings are stored in variables like .... and now my brain leave me alone :). It was something like OLDconsolepsth and Consolepath or similar.

Maybe that's a better place (larger community)

I tried your ideas but it does not seem to work.
