Discreet warnt vor Fehler im Stone System

Tja das hört sich nicht gut an. :(

http://www4.discreet.com/company/company.php?id=953

[...] the result will be that any system that is dependent on the stone file system will not run until the corrective measures outlined in this note have been executed.

In Hoffnung....

Siehe Stone Wire Date Rollover FAQ:
Zitat
Q: What is the date rollover issue that has been identified? A: All stone file system operations are routed through one function call that also validates the system time. If the system time is outside of the defined boundary, stone & wire will not mount the file system and thus will cease to function. As a result, all applications that access stone & wire when the system time reaches the boundary will be temporarily unable to function until the published workaround has been implemented or the appropriate patch has been installed.

Q: What happens if I do not install the fix (see question 15) and attempt to start my IRIX or Linux-based Discreet application after 21:24:16 October 2, 2004? A: You will not be able to access any IRIX- or Linux-based Discreet applications after 21:24:16 October 2, 2004 until the recommended fix has been
implemented. Attempting to access the system without the appropriate fix will return the following error message: swfs FATAL: System time 901234567890 is greater than SW epoch time limit 828334800
