Guten Tag!
Is es moeglich, eine MS OpticalMouse per USB/PS2 Adapter an einer Octane zum Laufen zu bringen?

Also meine Intellimouse Explorer läuft auch ohne Problem an der Octane.

Noch mit keiner Wireless Mouse egal ob M$ oder Logitech irgendwelche Probleme an einer SGI (ab Indy oder später) gehabt.

Funktioniert ohne Probleme (incl Wheel).

Laut nekochan (www.nekochan.net) geht das ab IRIX 6.5.16!

Bei mir sieht das dann so aus:

# systune pcmouse_mode 2

Zur Erklärung:

Modus 0 = default 3-Tasten-Maus
Modus 1 = 3-Tasten Wheel-Maus
Modus 2 = 5-Tasten Wheel-Maus

Das Ganze kann man, nach einen Reboot, unter /var/adm/SYSLOG kontrollieren, mit etwa folgender Ausgabe:

Mar 28 17:0813 5A:mithrandir unix: NOTICE: pcmouse: type=4

Meine Logitech cordless optical Maus läuft damit ohne Probleme und alle 5 Tasten sind belegt. Macht sich bei Firefox, Sylpheed und winterm super!
