Hmmmm, what's wrong here ?

Hallo zusammen,
nachdem ich jetzt auch endlich als Developer registriert bin versuche ich gerade den 7.3.1.3m Compilersatz zu installieren. Allerdings bekomme ich megamächtige viele Conflicte, die mich doch ein wenig erstaunen. Ist bei meiner Basisinstallation von IRIX was schief gelaufen ? Auf welcher CD sind diese Sachen denn normalerweise mit drauf ?

Ist nur 'ne Vermutung:
Wäre es möglich, dass Du ein zu altes IRIX 6.5 installiert hast und Du nur nicht die richtigen Versionen der Packete installiert hast? Ging mir mal so mit diverser Freeware...
Und noch etwas O.T. und war vermutlich schon oft auf der Tagesordnung:
Hast Du einen Developer "Plus" Zugang? Und wenn ja, wie bist Du da drangekommen? Einfach beworben oder entwickelst Du echt kommerzielle Software für IRIX?
Da wäre ich echt auch scharf drauf...

Also zu alt sollte mein IRIX nicht sein, es ist ein 6.5.15. Habe mich aber entschieden die Maschine nochmal platt zu machen, der Upgrad auf 6.5.19 hatte auch schon so merkwürdig rumgepienst.
Zum Developerzugang. Habe mich normal drum beworben, da ich kommerziell Software entwickele (Bereich Computergraphik & Virtuelle Realität). Bis jetzt war alles problemlos.

ich würde vorschlagen, auch nochmals die Overlays und die Developer Foundations und Developer Libraries während der Installation des Compilers zu öffnen. Hilft das?

Was installierst Du da eingentlich genau?
Es gibt nämlich auch für den Mips-Compiler ein "Overlay".
Bevor also das "Overlay 7.3.1.3m" funktioniert, muss erst einmal das Vollprodukt drauf.
Wie es der Zufall will, hab ich vor ein paar Tagen über Ebay ein kleines Päckchen ergattert. Inhalt waren jede Menge Compiler-CDs und auch die MipsPro-All-Compiler-CD 7.3.
